I see several icon decorations on my Project Explorer icons that I never noticed before -- I don't know if they are new or just now catching my attention -- is there some explanation of them all in documentation somewhere?
I see an inverted-color (white on black) asterisk, and various rectangles or cylinders with bumps or knobs, which may be trying to tell me something interesting.
Hi Pete,
If you hover your mouse over an icon, a tool tip should appear with a short description.
That said, I'm not aware of some of the icons you described. A screenshot would help me understand.
Thanks

Wow... I actually don't know what most of those icons are...
Did you install some version control Eclipse plug-in recently? Or any plug-in? And are you still in the 'CCS Edit' perspective?
Ok, I've found that some of those icons appear because it the project is in version control and CCS/Eclipse version control integration is being used (like the integrated CVS support). The little yellow rectangle indicates the file is in version control
