CCS v5.2 Project Explorer icon overlays

I see several icon decorations on my Project Explorer icons that I never noticed before -- I don't know if they are new or just now catching my attention -- is there some explanation of them all in documentation somewhere?

I see an inverted-color (white on black) asterisk, and various rectangles or cylinders with bumps or knobs, which may be trying to tell me something interesting.

  • Hi Pete,

If you hover your mouse over an icon, a tool tip should appear with a short description.

That said, I'm not aware of some of the icons you described. A screenshot would help me understand.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Kinda need a magnifying glass plus a Rosetta Stone:

  • Wow... I actually don't know what most of those icons are...

Did you install some version control Eclipse plug-in recently? Or any plug-in? And are you still in the 'CCS Edit' perspective?

  • Ok, I've found that some of those icons appear because it the project is in version control and CCS/Eclipse version control integration is being used (like the integrated CVS support). The little yellow rectangle indicates the file is in version control
