CCS Update from V5.2.1.00018 to V5.3.0.00090

Hello,

I have just seen that CCS V5.3.0.00090 has been released on http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS. I have now tried to update with "Help\Check for Updates" but only the message "No updates were found" is displayed. Is it not possible to update CCS V5.2.1.00018 or is the update not yet ready?

    Hi Patrick,

    I do believe an update is expected to come at some point, however I can recommend simply installing the released v5.3 into a new folder.  This is likely the best scenario no matter what.

    Hi Lisa,

    Can you please confirm that the update is not yet ready but will be in near future. It is important to know that.

    If you say that this update is ready and should work I have to think that something with my installation is wrong.

    If you say that TI's plan are to have that update ready in let's say 1..2 weeks no problem. In this case we will wait until it is ready.

    If you say there are no plans to have this update ready for the CCS internal update mechanism than we have to install it in a new directory (this would be a bad solution indeed) .
