could not find the target or msp430

Hello everyone  i am very knew to ccs v4 and its features so please ignore my innocence.

I am  tryin to execute ADC program in ccs v4 and using msp430f6638 our code is without errors and built successfully but

 when we are debugging it we  are getting following error

and our code is 

i shall be obliged if any one can help me with it .

    Hi Laksmi,

    I would recommend using the latest version of ccs, v5.4

    Having said this without more information you could be having the problem connecting to the FEt for various reasons

    - dll version ...please see

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MSP_Debug_Stack

    - bad cable

    - usb port

    - drivers

    Give some of these a try and please provide as much information as possible.   There is a free flash programming tool from elprotronic I use all the time to help debug FET connectivity.  www.elprotronic.com
