Hi!
I've been trying to install the ccs software for my MSP430. But am getting errors when trying to install on my Dell Inspiron (Windows 8). If anyone could help me that would be awesome :D
I've downloaded the offline installer.
Disabled my Mcafee firewall
Installing in c:\
Not sure what else could be causing the problem. I've included the InstallJammer Registry.

Here's the error message dump:

Any help would be great. Thanks!
Hi,
Remove all the folders related to CCS and try re-installing using "Run As Administrator".
Regards,
Gautam
Hi
I just deleted the InstallJammer Registry folder for CCS. I dont think there weren't any other folders to delete.
I also ran as admin.
Same problem came up :(
This seems like an unknown glitch. Lets wait for what Lisa says!
(Dear Lisa, why is that CCS v5.4 very unstable is having a lot of incompatibility issues? )
Regards,
Gautam
Hi Jonathan,
there are a couple things I can as you to verify (unfortunately this will mean trying again).
1 - clear out the installation and installjammer logs
2 - redownload ccs and ensure you use the full offline installer (this is not the large button on the download page but a bit further down)
3 - try again with antivirus disabled and using a simple directory like c:/ti or c:/myccs
If you still encounter problems please send in the new logs.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Jonathan,
could you please send the most recent logs? These are in the installjammer registry directory, a folder which may be hidden and is under program files or program files(x86).
Best regards,
Lisa
HI Jonathan,
it looks like something is corrupting/blocking your installation. This is typical behaviour we see when an antivirus program interferes for example.
Would you be able to clear out the installation, including logs, and try a fresh download and install with antivirus disabled. Also be sure to use the offline installer. It is a bit below the large button.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I uninstalled McAffee, used a fresh download, cleared installation including logs and finally worked!
Im guessing it was cause of McAffee.
Thanks for your help!
Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
great, glad to hear that did the trick and you were able to install.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the update.
All the best with development.
Best Regards,
Lisa
