Hi,
I've been trying to install CCS 5.5 for a few days now and it is not working.
I have already turned off my firewall (I use no anti-virus), I have deleted all folders and restarted a clean install, but no luck until now.
The error is currently happening in com.ti.ccstudio.msp430.emu.win32
3000.ti_msp430pack_setup_5.5.0.17_install.log
I would appreciate any help.

If still unsuccessful, there's a possibility that your offline ccs setup might be corrupted during downloading. So try downloading the file again.

Could you please zip up the contents of c:\program files (x86)\installjammer registry\ccsv5 and upload them here? Please note, the installjammer registry folder is a hidden folder.
I'll take a look at the main installation log and let you know how to proceed.

Could you try running the installer (as admin) in compatibility mode? Right click on the executable, select properties->Compatibility and set that to windows 7. You shouldn't need to use the offline installer, but if it's already downloaded, it'll be much faster to use that. Make sure you use a clean folder, deleting the previous, failed installation is fine.

I'm still downloading the off-line version. It's almost at 60%. I think I will wait a little more.
When I finish downloading it, should I run it in compatible mode too?

Yes please run in compatibility mode, your problem isn't the online/offline installer, it looks like a problem installing the msp430 driver.

Hello,
I have CCS 5.5 on a win8 machine. It took a few times to get the installation to work. Now, I have a colleague who is has installed CCS 5.5 on a win 8 machine, and when he "cleans" the project CCS starts to slowly use all the memory and crashes after about 5 minutes.
Has anyone seen this before?
