I have some problems with automatic updates in CCS 5.5:
Hi
Could you please zip up and post the logs from c:\program files\installjammer registry\ccsv5 (program files (x86) if you're using a 64 bit machine)? Note, the "installjammer registry" folder is hidden.
Or you could download and install CCS 6.0.1 which is available now.

CCSv5 licenses will not work with CCSv6.
CCSv6 licenses will work with CCSv5.
Hi,
Unfortunately, the logs submitted don't show me what's going on, Your installation seems corrupted. I would recommend reinstalling CCS 5.5, and then updating one component at a time, so we can recover the installation in case it fails again. The update that failed to install is C2000 Code generation tools.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Danish
Thanks for your reply.
Actually last time I tried to install (update) only one file: ti_cgt_tms470_5.0.10_windows_installer.exe.
The mentioned C200 CGT I already installed manually and removed the file ti_cgt_c2000_6.2.7_windows_installer.exe from the folder C:/ti/ccsv5/eclipse/downloads/ (thus it can't be reinstalled again).
Eclipse seems to try to install this C2000 CGT file again and again every time any update is available and fails because this file is not located in the downloads folder.
How can I remove the C200 CGT file from the Eclipse "list" of the files to be installed in order not to fail when a new update is available.?
Edit the file ccsv5\eclipse\ccs_config.xml - look for "feature registered" and change it to "feature installed" (case sensitive.
Rename your downloads folder to something like downloads.old.

I found only th following file: ccs_config.xml.bk (backup?)
Shall I modify this file?
I modified ccs_config.xml (there were in total 5 "feature registered" that I reinstalled) and now the CCS seems to work again (updates are working).
Thanks a lot.
By the way, the new update for CGT 6000 (Version 7.4.9) is installed into C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\tools\compiler, the previous Versions were installed to C:\ti\ccsv5\tools\compiler. Is this folder intentionally changed?
They have just identified the code gen problem and will be issuing updates. I'm not sure if it would solve your problem to move it to the right directory, in the meanwhile.
