Hi there,
Have anyone tried to install the CC3.3 in a 64-bit XP?
I just ordered a Piccolo MCU controlSTICK Evaluation tool. But it keeps giving me an error message during CC3.3 installation like follwoing.
I chose 'Ignore' to finish the installation. Now I connot connect the controlSTICK from CC3.3. Error message like this,
Everything is fine in my colleague's computer after the same installation steps. He's using 32-bit XP.
Any ideas except switching my XP to 32-bit?
Thanks
David,
The messages you are getting are very similar to the ones reported in 64-bit Vista. Check the wiki page below:
http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/Vista_with_CCS
You might want to ignore these messages and see if CCS works correctly.
Hope this helps,
Rafael
Rafael,
Thank you for your reply.
I did ignore the message and completed the installation.
Now my problem is cannot connect the emulator from CC3.3.
The wiki page says, "If you want to use emulation on 64bit Windows you will need to use an emulator for which there are 64bit drivers available."
How could I know if my TMS320C2000 Piccolo controlSTICK emulator has 64bit drivers available?
Thanks.
David
David,
Piccolo controlSTICK uses the XDS100 emulation technology, and additional details about it can be obtained here.
As mentioned in the page above, there are no XDS100 64-bit drivers for CCS3.3 (and no plans to release them yet), however these are available in CCSv4. Would you like to try it instead?
Unfortunately this is due to the fact that CCS3.3 was not designed to be used in 64-bit operating systems.
Sorry for not being of much help,
Rafael
Rafael,
I downloaded and installed CCSv4 in my computer.
Now the LED on the stick is blinking.
Thanks,
David
