UNIFLASH - TIVA DEBUG PORT UNLOCK

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, TM4C1294NCPDT

Hello TI,

Are you aware of any know issues related to the “Debug Port Unlock” using Uniflash with XDS100/XDS200?

None of the tools are successful in unlocking the Tiva Controller using the “Debug Port Unlock”. If we following the instrction of unlocking, tool responds as if its has unlocked, but if we try to read the MAC address, it shows that it not erased.

This appears to be addressed here but was curious if TI was going to release an update to Uniflash supporting this on a professional and available emulator: http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/p/331364/1156595#pi239031349=4

Sincerely,

Jason Haedt

  • Jason,

As mentioned in the other thread that you referenced, this is currently not supported by Uniflash when using xds100/xds200 emulators. At the moment, I do not know which release will have this support, but I have entered an enhancement request in our bug tracking system so it can be tracked. The tracking # is SDSCM00051598.

  • Is there any update on "tracking # is SDSCM00051598"? We have a xds200 probe and a custom board with a TIVA CPU "TM4C1294NCPDT" we would like to do a processor reset on. If the xds200 can't do the processor reset on a TIVA CPU, is there another commercial probe that can do the processor reset and also works with CCS 6.1X to debug a TIVA project?

    Thanks,
    Doug

While the status of SDSCM00051598 is still "Open", the thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/t/475655 reports that a debug port unlock is possible with a XDS200 if the TI Emulator Version is 6.0.83.0 (or presumably later).
