CCS V6.1.0.00104 crash continuously on windows 10 technical preview, Someone have a workaround to solve this issue?

CCS V6 crash continuously and randomly, some times before ask about the default project folder, other time on debug section, or on edit mode, some times works as all thing it's ok for a while and then crash, so it is complicated to know when will be crash.

I know windows 10 is a preview right now, but in a few months I will move all my platform to windows 10 and the only application that I found problem is with CCS V6, by the way at the moment all my projects are on microchip microcontroller, and I evaluate Ti because I want to use Ti microcontroller on all my new projects.

Your microcontroller are amazing with a very fast ADC and fully configurable Timers for capture and compare mode. so I don't want to loose the opportunity to work with them  just only CCS V6 not function on windows 10.

  • Hello Juan,
Thank you for your feedback. Windows 10 is certainly something that we will support in the future so your feedback is valuable. Can you use the CCS support dialog to create an archive of any generated error logs and crash dump files and attach the zip to this thread?

    Thanks

  • here you are the Eclipse Log file

    Eclipse Log.zip

  • Thank you for the logs, I have notified the engineering team for analysis.

  • Thanks for the logs. We noticed a variety of issues in them. Not sure what the root causes of them are yet. I'm in the process of installing Windows 10 Preview on a PC here myself to play around with. Official Windows 10 support is definitely on the roadmap for a future CCS release (currently 1Q of next year).

    Thanks

  • Hello again,

Microsoft released the build 10074, with this version code composer studio V6 is working much better, not crash yet, so I will continue to evaluate the tool
