CCS 6.1: Problems saving workspace

When closing CCS, I get a pop-up titled: Problems saving workspace.

Details:

Problems occurred while trying to save the state of the workbench.
Could not write workspace metadata 'C:/<pathGoesHEre>/workspaceName/.metadata/.plugin/org.eclipse.core.resources/.root/5.tree'.
java.lang.NullPointerException

5.tree does exist. (I'm not able to copy here due to none-printing chars that trash the display.)

Could you suggest a solution?

After 2 CCS start/exit cycles, the exit-pop-up goes away.

Michael - thanks for the update

Sometimes I get this error when some cached information stored in the workspace got corrupted. It sometimes goes away on its own. Sometimes I get impatient and clean out my workspace.

I'd agree with you, the problem appears random. It was happening pretty regularly.
i.e. It is not bad enough to stop me. Just annoying.
