Experts: Please help me out!
I was trying to include newer libraries through switching to a newer XDCtools (from 3_23_04_60 to 3_25_06_96). There were some error messages at the end of the switching. Now, I can't even open my RTSC projects. I can't even create an empty RTSC project. The error message is:
Error: Could not initialize class org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.ui.registry.RtscProductRegistry
Could not initialize class org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.ui.registry.RtscProductRegistry
I haven't been trying to reinstall CCS v5.3, XDCtools without any success. By the way, also have CCS v6 installed on the same PC. There wasn't any issue before that. I am using Windows 7.
Thanks,
Garry
Hi Gautam,
Thank you for your help.
CCS v5.5 introduced a bug which prevents memory being viewed in floating points.CCS v6.1 is a different story. Anyway, your suggestion prompted me to install CCS v5.5 temporally, which solves the problem.

Garry
Here is some more update on the issue.
The problem is that the old XDCtools, which comes with CCS v5.3, will not be installed successfully, in the sense that the CCS will not be able to see it. Installing CCS v5.5 doesn't fully solve the problem. CCS v5.5 installs a newer version of XDCtools, 3.25.3.72. When CCS v5.5 is uninstalled, the XDCtools is still there. CCS v5.3 can use XDCtool 3.25.2.72. However, it introduces the old problem I mentioned earler, that CCS doesn't support floating point data any more.
In summery, the problem is that older XDCtools can't be installed properly. I wonder if someone can help on this, such as how to clean the windows registration of XDCtools.
Thanks,
Garry
