CCSv6.1.3: GUI Composer GUI shows red "x" items after launching and connecting to symbols only target config as debug configuration

Hello,

After launching, connecting and resuming a symbols only target configuration, the GUI composer GUI is showing "x" on all items in the GUI.

What would cause that to happen?
