OMAP3530 emulation configurations not available in current CCS4

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530, OMAP-L138

I downloaded current CCS4, 4.1.2.00027, for use with OMAP 3530 board. I have 510 and 560 emulators. I do not see any OMAP device support listed under any of the 510 or 560 connections in the New Target Configuration window. Do I need to do something extra to add OMAP support or do I need a specific version of CCS4?

  • What is the exact emulator you are trying to use? I managed to configure it for several OMAP devices using the procedure listed in the page below:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:Common_target_configurations

    I used XDS100v2, SD XDS510USB, BH-USB560m (BlackHawk) XDS560PCI (TI) without any problems.

If you want to be sure the device support files are installed in your system, check for the file <OMAP3530.xml> in the directory

    INSTALL_DIR\ccsv4\common\targetdb\Devices

If the Platinum version of CCS was installed fully this file should be there.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • I downloaded the same ccs4platinum.zip to a different system and ran the install and now see the omap files. For some reason my original install only had about a third of the files in the common/targetdb/devices directory.

  • I have the same problem. I just installed ccs4.2.0.1012 on a new machine and do not have OMAP-L138 platform. How can I add it?

    Thx,

    MikeH
