I am using Launchpad at the moment with built-in XDS100.
What I have noticed is that my software performance is adversely affected when XDS100 is running.
For example, I have a code that is executed every 1s (heartbeat LED) based on RTI timer.
If XDS100 is disconnected then the period is 1s as expected. However, if XDS100 is connected (regardless of whether debug session is on or not) the period becomes fairly random. It varies between 1s and 3-4s for no apparent reason.
The question is: If I get XDS560 (or whatever is the best XDS these days) will it solve this issue?
Or shall I just get Segger J-Link, which seem to be fully supported by CCS these days?
Hi John,
This is the Launchpad LAUNCHXL-TMS57004.
As to being connected/disconnected, this is a physical disconnection.
The power is provided via 5V pin on J10.
