Hello all,
I am trying to using Simulink and CCSv6.2. I tried to run an easy project (blink a led) following the instruction of the youtube video(Simulink code generation from MATLAB for TI C2000 processors - Hello World using CCS v4/v5) but I something got wrong:
I’m not sure about the setting procedure; if I try with “checkEnvSetup('ccsv4','F28069','check')” the following is the result:
I’m using:
F28069 board with CCSv6.2, ControlSuite 3.4.3, DSP/BIOS 5.42.02.10, SYSBIOS 6.45.1.29, Code Generation tool 6.4.0, Matlab 2015b.
Moreover: someone could please explain me the difference between “idelink_ert.tlc” and “ert.tlc”.
Thanks a lot,
Kind regards,
Emilio
Hi Emilio,
The error you are seeing - it looks like your model is trying to use CCSv5, but not CCSv6, which you have installed.
1) Your model probably has the wrong toolchain selected. Check this at Simulation -> Model Configuration Parameters and look at the Code Generation tab. Change this to CCSv6, and click Validate to check it. See below:
2) If needed, you can use the MATLAB Command targetupdater to configure your support package for CCSv6.
3a) idelink_ert.tlc is an older workflow which was designed for CCSv3.3 and connected directly to execute commands in the CCS IDE. Due to changes in CCSv4, and then CCSv5, the solution lost aspects of the connectivity to the IDE and MathWorks will discontinue this workflow in the future
3b) ert.tlc is the main workflow you shoudl use. Focus on the examples using ert.tlc
