Dear All,
I've bought new TMS320C6713 DSK and with that I've got free matlab trial CD and C6000 Code Composer Studio v3.1. The Problem is that, when I try to Install CCS 3.1 on Windows 7, it won't install properly, and the following dialog box appears on the screen when the installer try to start drpkiont service.
"Error 1920. Service 'drpkiont' (drpkiont) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
and If I press Ignore Button, another dialog box appears on the screen when it try to start XDSFast1_ISA_Bus_Driver service.
"Error 1920. Service 'XDSFast1_ISA_Bus_Driver' (xdsfast1) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
mind you, I'm installing this software with the Administrator Privileges.
So can anyone know how to round this problem?
kind Regards,
Arsal
P.S: I don't want to install any new version, because I'm fully satisfied with the version 3.1.
Arsal,
Please take a look at this FAQ: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Vista_with_CCS#Q:_I_am_installing_CCS3.3_under_Vista_64._Even_with_administrator_privileges_and_UAC_turned_off_I_see_some_errors._Will_they_cause_any_issues.3F
Although it mentions CCS 3.3, you could try the same with 3.1. However, please note that CCS 3.1 is not officially supported or tested with Windows7.
I tried ignoring these during the setup, but when I try to connect c6713 with my computer, CCS3.1 won't start.
Don't know what to do,now. Where can I get CCS3.3?
The CCS 3.3 that comes with DSKs are not eligible for upgrade. So you would need to purchase a copy of CCS 3.3 through the TI estore.
