I want to generate hex file of my project from CCSv7.4. The actual project was made in CCSv4.
I have imported the project in the CCSv7.4 and made several modifications.
The problem I am facing is that 'MSP430 Hex Utility' is not found in Project Properties for this particular project only.
What should I do to generate a hex file for this project?
You have a couple of options:
1) Change the compiler version explicitly to the version that comes with CCS 7.4 (16.9.6.LTS). That should add the Hex Utility to the Project Properties.
2) If you are still using an older version of the compiler to build the project, then you can invoke the hex utility as a post-build step. You just have to specify the command and options via command line rather than using a GUI to enable them.
