Hello Everyone

i am using TMs320vc5509a device and CCS v3.3 is used to compile the application software. CCSv3.3 does not run on window 10 machine. To use the windows 10, i have planned to use the CCS 8.1.0 version. I need help in migration of all my application codes to CCS8.1.0 version. Kindly help

Hi Vikas,

A CCSv3.3 -> CCSv8 migration is quite a move. I am not going to sugarcoat it - there may be some migration pains.

The best suggestion I can offer (besides getting very familiar with CCSv8), is are the below links:

Both links are pretty old and dated (especially the screenshots, since the GUI will have gone through multiple changes since then). However, a decent amount of the material is still relevant. This is because the biggest issue regarding moving from CCSv3 is the change to the Eclipse framework in CCSv4 and greater. The above links cover that information.

I think you should go straight to CCSv8 (or later). Even though the migration steps may have changed a bit since CCSv5, it is better than doing to migrations (v3 -> v5 -> v8)

Sorry, there is no comprehensive document for such a migration.
