CCS/MSP430FR2355: No compilers are currently installed for this device-family

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I have installed CCS v8. For new CCS project error msg "No compilers are currently installed for this device-family" is displayed.

CCS is unable to discover compiler

I have installed full version of CCSv8 and compilers are installed but not discoverable.

Please help me with this.

If you go into those compiler tools directories /bin folder, say the ti-cgt-msp430_18.1.4.LTS, do you see all the binary executables? I'm wondering if the CCS installation is somehow incomplete or corrupted. Do you have any anti-virus running? If so, are you able to temporarily disable it and reinstall CCS to ensure it is not impacting the installation?

I re-installed many times but still not discoverable

I disabled Anti-virus software and re-installed the CCS. Still same problem.

Sourav,

The compiler tools do appear to be installed ok. One difference I see between your system and mine is that file extensions are missing in your files. Can you try enabling file extensions in your system, then restart CCS and see if that helps discover the tools? Besides that I'm not really sure why it is not being detected.

Also what does your system show for discovered tools? ( Windows->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Compilers). Is it completely blank?

And if you go to menu Help->About Code Composer Studio->Installation Details, do you see any/all Compiler Tools listed there?
