CCS/66AK2H14: CrashReportJob and internet connection problem

Part Number: 66AK2H14

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi!

I use CCS 7.4 with the Ubuntu 16.04. (Also tried 9.4 and 5.5)

And there is the problem with CCS.

In the progress window appears the process "CrashReportJob" after CCS starting.

And it doesn't disappear.  Even if I click "cancel operation".

Also in the "App Center" window near the tools loading icons display instead of "select" button.

And if I start "check for updates" nothing happens.

But sometimes it reachs 1% after 30 minutes "thinking". The problem can be in internet connection speed, but in browser and terminal everything OK.

Help me please.

It's quite possible that this is the case. What kind of speeds do you have?

Can you try cleaning your workspace folder?

Are you able to successfully play the CCSV7 video embedded in the Getting Started view?

  • Thank you, but I've not understood you question about "kind of speed". For example, if I download something from the Internet speed is about 10 Mb/s. May be you mean this.

I've tried to clean the workspace, but nothing happened. And it is the first run of CSS, I did not try to create a project.

Yes, I can play getting started video in HD without prodlem.

Also I've started "Check for updates" again. And it reach 6% for about 1 hour.

  • Hi!

Thank for your help. The issue was solved.

The problem was in Proxy Settings. I commented proxy setting in /etc/environment file.

Don't know the reason, but it works.

  • Proxy settings can indeed have a big impact - though in most cases access is denied instead of slowed down (or getting stuck).

Anyway, glad to hear you resolved the issue and thank you for the update.
