CCS/AWR6843: driver vital sign monitoring

Dear sir or madam,

I want to know if you can implement driver vital sign with AWR6843 ( that's just this lab example from AWR6843:  dev.ti.com/.../node
can you use the .bin program from AWR1642 for AWR6843,
you have to change all the code or there is a conversion for code from AWRs?

    Hi Alireza,

    The lab you referred to in your post already supports AWR6843 as mentioned in the lab user guide. It provides separate pre-compiled binaries as well as CCS projects for all the supported devices listed in the lab user guide. You will need to use the pre-compiled binary corresponding to xWR6843 available at the following path: mmwave_automotive_toolbox_3_0_0\labs\lab0003_occupancy_detection\prebuilt_binaries\oddemo_68xx.bin

    If you are looking for the Vital signs demo for xWR6843, it is available in the Industrial Toolbox as given below:

    Binaries from xWR1642 are not compatible with xWR6843 because these devices are based on different RF frequencies, however you can follow the instructions given in the following migration guide to post xWR1642 software to xWR6843 (60GHz) or xWR1843 (77GHz). As mentioned above, the Vital Signs Demo is already available for xWR6843 in the Industrial Toolbox.

    thank you very much for your answer. I can use IWR6843ISK Antenna Module or IWR6843ISK-ODS Antenna Module  for  Vital Signs Driver Demo. Can i use AWR6843ISK EVM for this case? I have problem with UNIFlash program. I can't find any AWR6843ISK EVM, if i search this name, i can only find AWR6843 and not EVM.

    1. I can use IWR6843ISK Antenna Module or IWR6843ISK-ODS Antenna Module  for Vital Signs Driver Demo.

    [NS]: Not sure if this was a question (or a statement), but yes the Vital signs demo can work on both IWR6843ISK or IWR6843ISK-ODS modules.

    2. Can i use AWR6843ISK EVM for this case? I have problem with UNIFlash program. I can't find any AWR6843ISK EVM, if i search this name, i can only find AWR6843 and not EVM.

    Just select AWR6843 in uniflash and it should be OK.
