CCS/AWR1642BOOST: Errors In rebuilding the Driver Vital signs Monitoring Demo

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I imported the project files for Driver sign monitoring from the toolbox.I have installed also the necessary dependencies as mentioned in the mm wave sdk user guide .

When I try to build the project with no changes to the code- I get the following errors-

1. Gmake errors

2.Identifier mailbox is undefined-

3.Cannot open the source file -"dsp_fft32x32.h"

  • Hi,

Please make sure you have installed the correct SDK version required in the Release Notes: SDK 2.0.0.4

    thank you

    Cesar

  • The release notes in the lab of vital signs detection says- SDK version 1.1.0.2. Where is 2.0.0.4 mentioned?

    Thanks

    Swapan Jain

  • Hi,

The version included in automotive toolboxes released in the last 2 years requires sdk 2.x  This version is required for the AWR1642BOOST EVMs with the latest version of the silicon ES2.0

So, first you need to identify what version of silicon is on your board.

Please see this thread that will help you identify if your board has an ES1.0 or ES2.0 silicon

    AWR1642: How to check ES1.0 or ES2.0 for AWR1642? - Sensors forum - Sensors - TI E2E support forums

    e2e.ti.com
Part Number: AWR1642 I am using AWR1642, and I want to know about my board ES information. So how to check for it? Here is the Device image. Jian Best wishes

Please let me know what you find out

    thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi,

I checked and my board has 502AC written in it, so it should be ES 2.0 for me.

    Thanks

    Swapan Jain

  • Hi,

I also built using the sdk 2.1.0.4.

Still getting the same error as mentioned above in my original question.

    Thanks

    Swapan Jain

  • There may be an error in the way you are building the project.

Did you Import the Project in CCS by importing the projectspec files?

    \labs\lab0001-driver-vital-signs\vitalSigns_target\vitalsigns_16xx_dss.projectspec

    \labs\lab0001-driver-vital-signs\vitalSigns_target\vitalsigns_16xx_mss.projectspec

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • No, I followed the developer guide in the automotive toolbox labs.

I opened CCS in edit perspective.

I then went to projects-> import CCS projects

I then browsed to the correct folder.

    It detected 2 files vitalsigns_16xx_dss and vitalsigns_16xx_mss.

Then I selected both these files and clicked finish.

    Is this the correct way?

    Thanks

    Swapan jain

  • Yes, this is the correct way.

Now, let's consider the SDK version. The Rrelease Notes indicate that SDK 2.0.0.4 is required. Did you install this version?

    Thank you

    Cesar
