OrCAD Problem after install Pspice for I 2020

Hello Team,

I installed Pspice for TI 2020 yesterday(14th, Nov).

Today, I tried to play OrCAD which I have used before installing Pspice for TI 2020.

However, I could not open OrCAD Capture program with showing the error message as below;

The program can't start because cdn_sfl401as.dll is missing from your computer.

Please reinstall the program to solve this problem.

The original message window is written by Korean language as below picture;

The OrCAD version which it was installed in my computer is 16.3.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi Ahnse,

Are you familiar with the Cadence utility "switch release"? It should come with your 16.3 installation and should be available in the start menu.

Please run that and check if there's an option to set the release to 16.3.

Hi ZC,

I am not familiar with the Cadence unitlity "switch release".

The program provider installed 16.3 remotely.

And there is no "switch release" menu at start menu as below picture.

Please let me know the next step which I can do.

Hi Ahnse,

Please see the following screenshot for details on switch release in 16.3. If you see 16.3 in the list, simply select it and click OK.

Hi JC,

I am using Windows 7 and I could not find "Cadence Switch Release" Command at Start Folder.

Please let me know where "Cadence Switch Release" Command is located at Windows 7.

Hi Ahnse,

If you don't see it in the start menu, the name of switch release executable is switchversion.exe and it should be present at <SPB 16.3 install location>\tools\bin\switchversion.exe.

Hi JC,

I found 2 files which its name is switchversion.exe as below;

1st file is located at C:\Cadence\PSpiceTI\tools\bin

2nd file is located at C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3I\tools\bin

Please let me know the file which I have to execute and the next step for me to do using its file.
