PMP40731: Reason of Vias

Hi Team,

Customer want to know the reason of the 10 vias in the image below. According to them they downloaded the altium file of PM40731 demo board and noticed that the vias is only connected at top layer.

Hi Maynard,

The purpose of these vias is to connect to the third layer to improve heat dissipation. Now they are only connected to the top layer, if customers want to further optimize the thermal performance, they can add a heat dissipation layer to the third layer, as shown below,
