Hi there,

Would like to do the same test on bq25570 as the one Gordon Varney did on page 2 in https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu382/tidu382.pdf?ts=1655081493736 Would love the know, by the output voltage, do they mean the power output at Vbat ? and how do they measure it? Thanks

Hi Kaleb,

Gordon used a Keithley 2400 sourcemeter connected at VBAT to simulate a battery.

Hi Jeff,

If I use a source meter connected at Vbat, what level of voltage should I clamp to simulate a battery to see the output power at Vbat? for example, if the battery I emulated is a lithium-ion battery, shall I set the voltage at 4.2 and obverse the current, then calculate the power corresponding to different lux ? Thanks

Hi Kaleb,

Yes, although we typically take efficiency measurements at VBAT=3.6V -3.8V which is closer to where the LiIon battery voltage stays for so long.
