How do I import a TI device model into PSpice for TI, for example, a TIP31C.
I can't find any models for transistors other than the Breakout ones.
PSpice is very new to me so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tony,
All TI models are already available for use in PSpice for TI under Place -> PSpice Component -> Search
For models from other vendors, you will need to use Generate Part feature. Please check out our training video series here: https://training.ti.com/pspice-ti-3rd-party-model-import?context=1146489-1146488-1146482
Thank you,
Jackie
Hi Tony,
Please also check out our FAQ about the modeling application: https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-group/sim-hw-system-design/f/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-forum/973740/faq-pspice-for-ti-can-i-define-my-own-model-in-pspice-for-ti?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=faq%3atrue
You can create your own generic models with this tool.
Thank you,
Jackie
Hi Jackie,
Thank you for your speedy response.
I tried your suggestions but alas, to no avail. I am running the latest version of PSpice for TI and cannot find any libraries that contain models for for BJTs. Perhaps they don't come with the 2022 release. I will try installing it on another computer (assuming that is allowable) and hope that fixes the problem.
Thanks again Jackie.
Regards
Tony
Hi Tony,
The part you mentioned, TIP31C, is not a TI model. Only TI models come pre-loaded with PSpice for TI. You can add PSpice models yourself from any vendor using the Generate Part feature. If you want the full Cadence PSpice library from multiple vendors, you should check out the commercial PSpice from Cadence on pspice.com
Thank you,
Jackie
