TIDA-010038: Change of transformer for extended voltage range

Part Number: TIDA-010038

Dear Support,

Continuing the previous thread, we decided to follow your suggestion and ordered a new transformer made for us for this application. We measured the secondary turns ratio to be approx. 6.8.

Unfortunately, we have some issues. When we install the new transformer, the board does not start. It seems to be constantly resetting, like when a protection is kicking in. When we switch back to the old transformer, the board works correctly.

We measured the transformer inductances to be 358uH on the primary and ~8,5uH on each secondary. And as a reminder, we use the UCC256404A.

Our questions are:

- What else should we change in the circuit, in order for it to work with the new transformer?

- Is there any parameter on the transformer that could be causing us issues that we could check?

Thank you and best regards,

Pantelis
