TPS61085 SwitcherPro Frequency Selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61085

It is nice to have support for TPS61085 in SwitcherPro, but there is no possibility to change switching frequency from 1.2MHz to 650kHz. Even auto update is not working for me, because if I click to "Yes, download now", it act like instantly downloaded 100%, but in fact nothing is downloaded. Manual download is so difficult, because google can find download page faster than internal search. It is lot to improve, but I'm beliver.

  • Martin,

You can select the frequency by using Advanced Inputs in SwitcherPro. Select "Create a new design" --> "Start by entering specifications" --> Click on "Advanced Inputs" tab and enter specifications that will fall under TPS61085 specifications like Vin min = 3V Vin max = 6V Vout = 12V, Iout Max = 0.4A and Switching Freq (KHz) = 650. Click on "Find Devices". The tool lists several parts and TPS61085 is one of them. Select TPS61085 and click "Design Now". SwitcherPro should come back with a circuit for the 650KHz operation.

  • Thank you for advice, it works.

It did not come to my mind, because I know what device I want to use, so I started design with selecting device. Unfortunately When I choose this way, I was not able to select this parameter...
