TIDA-01620: TIDA-01620 "USB-C™︎ to DisplayPort Active Cable Reference Design"

Part Number: TIDA-01620
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1044, TUSB546A-DCI, TUSB1046EVM, TUSB1046A-DCI

In the reference design guide "https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidudr0/tidudr0.pdf?ts=1683780379508&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F", there is one feature "“Supports VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode to USB-CTm UFP and DFP configuration ”.

My questions are:

1. What's the difference for UFP and DFP configuration?

2. That means, can this design also be used as " VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode to USB-CTm"?

Best Regards,

Haidong
