TIDA-01160: Output power setting

The TIDA-01160 is design for 1.5W power,but in chapter 2.3.2.1,we can see the power loss of gate drive is only for 0.11W.

Is this setting suitable ?

The setting of the inductance value also has the same question.

hey Lin,

I think the power loss in the gate driver will depend on the load and how fast it is switching. The quiescent power consumption looks accurate.

Hi Sarmad Abedin,

In the user guide we can see the formula of power loss as PTOTAL= 30.811 mW + 78.7 mW ≈ 109.511 mW.

So I think the total loss is almost 0.11W.

But why it design in 1.5W ?
