TIDA-010933: Need Pick & Place files and BOM file (in excel) format

Hi guys,

Does anyone have experience in developing TIDA-010933 PCB and assemble it?

I want to develop this PCB. For this I need BOM (in excel) format, though BOM is available in PDF but I need in excel format.

I need CPL file (Pick and Place) of this board.

Also how you guys arranged the parts used in this board?

I tried several distributors like digikey, mouser but not all parts available, I tried to contact manufacturer but not getting response from their side.

If you know channels then kindly share with me.

    Hi Abdul,

    Please find the files attached.

    The major part of components are just standard components that you can buy in stock distributors, like Mouser and Digikey. Custom magnetics, like T1, L8, L9, L10 you can ask from Bourns. All TI ICs samples you can buy on TI.com or you can contact your TI sales contact.

    If some components are missigng on stock you can try to find a replacement with similar specs.

    In the BOM file the PCB manufacturer also required the Footprint of part.

    but the BOM of TI have no Footprint field. 

    Kindly tell me about this. how to resolve this issue?

    secondly, I tried to contact Bourns and they forward my query to mouser, mouser says that we do not Bill to/Ship to your country.

    How to get these items? without these the development board will not work.

    Hi Abdul,

    We generated BOM in format standard for all TI designs. But, you can easily generate the BOM, PnP files in format compliant with your contract manufacturer. To do this please follow this steps:

    1. Download Altium project from TIDA-010933 webpage. https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/tidmcg2 

    2. In Altium - please open TIDA-010933-DCDC-AssemblyRelease.OutJob file. Open BOM(TI Designs format) in center of window, than open columns tab and made footprint visible.

    3. Generate the BOM with Footprint column enabled.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards the shipments - I believe you need to contact Bourns again. I can't comment Bourns and Mouser's shipment policy.

    Kindly suggest me which version of Altium to download as I never used this software. usually I use Orcad or KiCad for PCB designing.

    I downloaded the altium software version 24.5.2

    and do the following steps

    what to do next?

    I am getting empty pdf file with only field mentioned

    Hi Abdul,

    I believe you opneded the file alone without the PCB project. You need to open PCB project first and then open .OutJob file inside the Altium.

    I open the PCB project and then open the .outjob file

    Now it is showing all the details.

    Can I generate pick and place file from the project as well? please guide me about this too
