Hi, I'm using LM5122 to generate a 400W 50V output. We are using 2 LM5122 in master-slave mode to deliver more power. I have some questions here:
1. Does webench support LM5122 simulation? It doesn't seem to. I can open schematic in Webench, but I cannot seem to simulate it.
2. If I want to simulate a circuit, is it possible to import Spice model for any part I want to use but it's not in webench yet?
3. Can I simulate LM5122EVM-2PH? It's new EVM with dual controller working in master-slave mode. Would like to run simulations on it.
4. We modified the LM5122EVM-2PH, and it works well from 27V to 30.5V Vin, however, it does not work below 27V. Ideally we want to design it to support 18V to 30.5V. Any suggestion you can make to fix our issues in low voltage input?
Thanks,
John
John,
1.) The LM5122 is installed in WEBENCH® with a Circuit Calculator which means you can design circuits with it. It does not have simulation enabled at this time. If it did, ther woule be the following button available:
2.) If you want to simulate the circuit, there is a TINA-TI reference design available. The PSpice model can also be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. The model is encrypted in both TINA-TI and PSpice. At this time, you cannot import Spice models into WEBENCH®.
3.) If you have PSpice or TINA-TI, you could create the EVM from the EVM documentation and simulate it. You might have to import other components (FETs and diodes) as those may not be available in either tool. You could use the ones in the TINA Reference Design.
