TINA/Spice/LMZ14202EXT: Simulation too slow!

Hi Gabriel,

The LMZ14002EXT TINA-TI spice model and reference simulation schematic is on the web now. The simulation only take about 3 minutes on my machine. Please give it a try.

I've never used TINA, so this may be a stupid question but whenever I try to import that model into TINA the .LIB file shows up as Encrypted and it doesn't compile, however the .TSM compiles, but I can't seem to import that one.... Any tips for a newbie?

Since you are new to TINA-TI, I would recommend that you go through this short video training. This will help you get ramped up quickly.

Hi! First of all thanks a lot for your help, I was able to import the model and simulate it and as you mentioned it's quite fast 2 to 3 min at least in TINA-TI.

Now I have another question, I'm in need to make temperature simulations to this model, but contrarily to the other components this one doesn't have a temperature parameter, I tried to fixate the remaining components' temperature at 27ºC while changing the environment temperature but the model seems to remain unaffected by it and it doesn't even let me change to negative temperatures giving me a convergence error "Time step too small".

So having this said, is there a way to make temperature settings with this model, does it contemplate temperature variations at all?

I see that's too bad... Do you have knowledge of any way I can model the temperature performance of the LMZ14202?
