TIDA-01167: TIDA-01167 Reverse Polarity Protection

Part Number: TIDA-01167
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5060

Dear Sir,

Please you kindly help check  bewlow TIDA-01167 issue.

1. Fig27: do ISO7637-2 Pulse 1 test by 12V input voltage.

I saw output drop to -3.37V then to zero, does input voltage shutdown or LM5060 do output shut down for detect a fault condition?

2. If Fig27: ISO7637-2 Pulse 1 do test by 24V input voltage, It is same shutdown ?

Thanks

Steven

  • Hello Steven,

    Greetings,

    It is a transient of -3.27V@Pulse 1 for 12V, -3.35V pulse 1 for 24V.

If we see the behavior closely, Output is following the input waveform other than clamping negative voltage.

TIDA-01167 was not reset/shutdown during this test condition. As per the test condition if Input voltage is settled to zero, TIDA-01167 will shutdown automatically due to UVLO. But there were no abnormal resets in TIDA_01167

    Thanks

    Regards

    Rama
