Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models
Hi, I want to ask that how to include the UCC28180 PSPICE model in the simulation software?
First, I used the SIMETRIX to include this model , but it showed the pin in the symbol only had 6 pin, the VCC and FREQ pin were diappeared.
And I found the solution from your forums , it said that some models were encryped and only open in the PSPICE or TINA-TI
Does it have another solution to include it in SIMETRIX? And if you have unencryped model, how can I get it from a legal method ?
Secondary, I also used the PSIPCE in OrCAD to include this model , the symbol show the pin was same with SIMETRIX.
I opened the .LIB file found the PIN setting lose the VCC and FREQ in the file downloaded from your website. http://www.ti.com/product/UCC28180/toolssoftware
Can I add the VCC and FREQ PIN in the file and will it can work normarlly?
Last question, do you have UCC3818 spice model ?
Thanks for your help.
Hi Tony,
Please follow the below steps for UCC28180 model requirement:
1. Send a request to the below link for un-encrypted model .
TI Support: http://www.ti.com/guidedsupport/docs/calltisupport.tsp
Once you receive that then you can import it into TINA-TI using the instructions in Video 1.9 of the training series linked below.
2. Since this is an average model used for AC analysis, only the pins affecting AC analysis are modeled. That is why VCC and FREQ are not present in the lib file.
3. At present there is no UCC3818 spice model available on the web.We are evaluating if there is any similar Device available or not and will update you on this as early as possible.
Best Regards,
Ashis
