Hello tech team,
I was checking out this gate driver with the part number TIDA-01159 and I need to make sure if this is going to be a suitable product for the following application.
So I am going to use this gate driver in an integrated step up converter connected to PV. The nominal power is 200 Watts and the switching frequency is 1.3 MHz. Switches are all MOSFETs.
According to your knowledge is this gate driver suitable for this application?
I look forward to your reply
Best,
Samira
Hi, Samira
TIDA-01159 is based on the UCC21520 reinforced insulated gate driver from TI, and is capable of driving MOSFETs and SiC-FETs. The reference design contains a built-in isolated push-pull auxiliary power supply for powering the output of the isolated gate driver.
This reference design has High Driving Current (4-A Source and 6-A Sink), Suits Driving MOSFET / IGBT / SiC-FET With Currents up to 100 A and Operating requencies up to 2 MHz, Reducing Switching Losses Significantly.
It supports 3250-VPK and 3000-VRMS Basic Isolation, and Provides Very High CMTI of > 100 kV/ìs for Robust Operation in Noisy Environments.
