TIDA-01496: Can I use MSP430G2553IPW20R instead of MSP430G2553IPW0RQ1.

In TIDA-01496, microcontroller is used which is for automotive application. If I use MSP430G2553IPW20R , do I have to make any changes in the code and schemetic? my application is not automotive and MSP430G2553IPW0RQ1 is out of stock and has big lead time. is MSP430G2553IPW20R a drop in alternative?

Yes. The two devices you mentioned have identical 20-pin TSSOP packages and pinouts, and the MSP430G2553IPW20R can be used as a drop-in replacement for the MSP430G2553IPW0RQ1 without needing to change any schematics or code.

Please be sure to test this yourself and confirm that everything works as expected. Moving forward, please refer to the MSP430G2553 datasheet instead of the MSP430G2553-Q1 datasheet.
