Part Number: TIDA-01455
Hi team,
Good day.
In TIDA-01455 reference design, Figure 10. Half Bridge of GaN Inverter Schematic on (https://www.ti.com.cn/lit/ug/tidud56/tidud56.pdf the Q10 and R61 has marked X in the FET_L_W tag.
What is the reason for the disconnection of this components and the connected capacitor in 3 phase motor control?
Regards,
Carlo
Hello Carlo,
thank you for your interest in TIDA-01455.
The initial idea of the Q10 and R61 was to change the slew rate of the LMG3410 through the MCU on the fly.
The LMG3410 RDRV pin defines the gate drive current and hence the slew rate. 120kOhm sets the slew rate to 20V/us. Adding R61 in parallel give around 40k, which changes the slew rate to 50V/ns.
It was DNP since the TIDA-01455 design was not been tested with greater 20V/ns slew rate.
When you look for a 3-phase GaN inverter reference design, I'd rather recommend the TIDA-00915. This design is a layout and space optimized design,
but does not have isolated current sensing though.
