TIDA-00643: bus voltage

Part Number: TIDA-00643

Dear team,

Please confirm the following information:

1 Does TIDA-00643 have a limit on the bus voltage in hardware? Why when I use CCS to see the bus voltage measurement value, no matter how I change the power supply voltage value, the measured bus voltage value is 19.3V?

2 If it is not a hardware limitation, can it be modified by software? If it can be modified, where can it be modified?

Thanks!

  • Hello Susan,

Can you verify the values for PVDD (TP4 and GND-TP5) and PVDD_SEN (C19, R13, R14, or pin 10 of the C2k) and see what the voltage is and if it correlates to the default resistor divider values? This where bus voltage is measured.

My guess is the software is either hard coded at 19.3V or isn't correctly looking at the ADCINA0/VREFH pin or considered the ADC scaling on the C2k. You can try to hunt around in the software, but for now, let's just make sure the hardware is good first before pulling in the C2k folks to comment on their software.

    Best,
