TIDA-00620: Need help

Part Number: TIDA-00620
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8701

Hi...

One of my customer is working on design based on TIDA-00620. They have made board as per TIDA design but as soon as they have downloaded the firmware, they observed that "Fault LED" indication is continuously glowing.

Can you help identifying the possible reason for the same?

Mitesh

  • Mitesh,

Please see table 7 in the datasheet of DRV8701 for various conditions that could cause a the nFAULT pin to pull low.  Customer would need to one-by-one check each of the rows in this table.  For example, is VM > UVLO condition?  Is VCP > VCP UVLO condition?

Does any switching happen or device is immediately in FAULT condition from power-up?

    Regards,

    Ryan
