CC2530: BLE support

I know the module is not ideal for that application but as. we. need a BLE remote control for a use case and we have lots of unsold ZB controls on stock, it would be just great if we could recycle them:

Is there a way to run a minimal BLE stack on CC2530 and if yes, any suggestion on which configuration to use as a starting point? Thw control would connect to our own gateway, so it does not need to be perfectly. compliant, just work somehow...

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to run a BLE application on the CC2530. I have looped in an expert on the CC2530 device to offer some additional options, but running BLE on the device is not possible. If BLE is necessary, then I would suggest looking into the CC2340R5 device.

Hi Peter,

As Jan alluded, I can only recommend IEEE 802.14.5 and Zigbee solutions for the CC2530 (including gateway control options). There is no BLE PHY available on this device.
