LP-CC1352P7: Cannot configure +20dBm mode in sysconfig of simple_peripherial_oad_offchip demo

Hello TI team,

I am using "simple_peripheral_oad_offchip_LP_CC1352P7_4_tirtos7_ticlang" demo on a LP-CC1352P7-4 as starting point for custom device BLE firmware development.

I cannot find/access any configuration in sysconfig which allows more than +10dBm mode. Changing RF Design to LP_CC1352P7-2 is not allowed showing error message "RF Design must align with board selection: LP_CC1352P7-4". The board "SWITCH" dialog does not offer a matching LP_CC1352P7-2 board. I was also not successful migrating the configuration to "CUSTOM BOARD". CC1352P7RGZ or the actual target of my custom board CC2652P7. Either I got compilation errors due to missing declaration of "RF_Mode RF_modeBle" in ti_radio_config.c or the migration failed with an error message. My current SDK version is simplelink_cc13xx_cc26xx_sdk_7_10_01_24.

Appreciating any advice how to get a valid, compilable sysconfig for 20dBm mode.

The LP-CC1352P7-4 supports up to 13 dBm on 433 MHz and up to 10 dBm on 2.4 GHz.

What HW are you running your project on, and on what frequency band are you wanting to have 20 dBm out?

Referring to my request above I am completely aware of the specs and limitations of the LP-CC1352P7-4. The custom hardware I am currently designing does not have the 10dBm limitation. It comprises of a CC2652P7 and an impedance matched network optimized for 20dBm. Can you please advise about a "simple_peripheral_oad_offchip" demo project supporting the CC2652P7 and accepting sysconfig setup for 2.4GHz BLE 20dBm?

Hi Christoph,

Since a +20 dBm mode is not supported by SysConfig, I've found that the best option is to disable the stack and ti_drivers config files from being included in the SysConfig build and using custom files.
