CC2640R2F: About RF test item at production line

Hi Team, 

My customer is using CC2640R2F and will have first pilot-run.

They want to know :

1. At first pilot run, they play to test TX POWER, RSSI, RF Carrier frequency offset and drift.

   It any other test item are suggested ?

2.  Is it recommended to test RF Carrier frequency offset and drift (RFPHY/TRM/BV-06)?

     Is there a characteristic specified in the datasheet?

Please help to provide comments.

    Hi,

    The TX power and sensitivity tests for item 1) above can be done relatively easily in a production environment and with a spectrum analyzer and a calibrated attenuator.

    However, when measuring drift and other aspects of the Bluetooth LE protocol specification, it is usually a good idea to have a full Bluetooth LE test set and perform a comprehensive test of various parameters.These testers can give comprehensive reports and evaluate the product on a single pass. They usually need a UART port and a HCI controller present in your product, at least for the tests.
