CC2340R5-Q1: inductor for DC-DC pin

Part Number: CC2340R5-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello team,

In the refrence schematicOF CC2340R52N0RKPR an inductor is placed in front of DC DC pin.

is it necessary to consider the inductor for the pin if we have already used in the buck regulator which will supply 3.3V

  • Hi Darshan,

The device can be configured to either use the internal DCDC or the global LDO. If you are using the internal DCDC, it is required to have the inductor. If you are using the global LDO, the inductor can be removed, but the 10uF capacitor still has to be on the VDDR net. You should be aware that the current consumption will increase if the global LDO is used instead of DCDC.

    Best regards,

    HG
