Hi everyone,
I have a confusion about ble5 stack and long range examples.
Please, help me to understand what's going on
Are there any difference between ble5stack and blestack in terms of Bluetooth range ?
As we know, the Bluetooth range is increased up to 200 meter with the help of the Bluetooth 5.
Does TI ble5 stack support this extended bluetooth range or i need to use long range example?
If long range is supported in TI cc2640r2 sdk, Which sdk version i need to use and how can i enable long range mode?
I would like to calculate PER over the distances by using long range example.
Are there any chance to use long range example without making a connection ?
What is the purpose of Throughput Profile in long range example ?
Which version of cc2640r2 sdk i need to use to run long range projects?
Hi,
Please find the long range project in github:
to be used with the latest SDK including a readme for step by step guide.
The ble5stack is Bluetooth 5 compliant while blestack is Bluetooth 4.2 compliant. Long Range is a Bluetooth 5 feature and extends the range of the BLE connection using a different PHY.
Long range is only supported in connections with the latest simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_40_00_45.
