RTOS/CC2640R2F: After CC2640 OAD upgrade, how to prohibit CC2640 OAD

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

After CC2640 is connected, how to prohibit OAD to CC2640, in order to avoid others maliciously will be illegal firmware to CC2640.

  • Hi Allen,

If you're concerned about illegal firmware, you can use the Secure OAD feature to only allow signed images on your device. (Link to documentation: dev.ti.com/.../index-ble3-cc2640.html )

If you only want to allow one OAD, you can disable the OAD Service from the new image. (I.e. update to a firmware image with no OAD capabilities.)
