CC2640R2F: Sample Software for BLE serial port profile

I have question

For Bluetooth 4.xx, the payload up to 37 Bytes and Bluetooth 5 the payload up to 255 Bytes

Is this link https://github.com/ti-simplelink/ble_examples/tree/master/examples/rtos/CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL/bleapps/simple_serial_socket_server use for Bluetooth 5 ?

How much payload size for the bluetooth device can be transmitt per time ? and How much the maximum payload size ?

1. No, for Bluetooth Core Specification version < 4.2 support 27 bytes, and version >= 4.2 support payloads up to 251 bytes. Please read about "Data Length Extension (DLE)" in the BLE User's guide: http://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/content/simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_30_00_20/docs/blestack/ble_user_guide/html/ble-stack-common/link-layer-cc2640.html?highlight=data%20length%20extension#le-data-length-extension-dle2.
2. No, your link is an example for the BLE-stack, not the BLE5-stack. We don't have anything like that for BLE5 on CC2640R2.
3. The payload size is negotiated between the master and the slave, and will depend on what layer of the BLE-stack you talk about, and what you mean about "time". Are you talking about throughput for number of BLE packet, or application data?

For your question no.3, I mean BLE packet

I use this example for BLE-stack above to test.

My data is dynamic length 0-174 bytes. I try to sent data 160 bytes, it split data 20 bytes and  sent 8 times.

I think If I use BLE5-stack and sent data 160 bytes, Will it sent data 160 bytes just 1 time ?

I tested by the transmitter is my phone and the receiver is LACNCHXL-CC2640R2. The data is split to 20 Bytes.

1. How much the maximum MTU size support for CC2640R2F ?

2. How to change the configuration of MTU size in CC2640R2F ?
