Hi:

At present,I has two demoboards, one with 32kHz crystal oscillator and one without.The demoboard with 32kHz crystal oscillator successful operation of simple_peripheral_oad_offchip. But the other one failed.

So I modify the simple_peripheral_oad_offchip to follow the RCOSC（http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra499b/swra499b.pdf?tdsourcetag=s_pcqq_aiomsg:Running Bluetooth® low energy on CC2640 Without 32 kHz Crystal）,But it still didn't work.

I wonder if it is necessary to use 32Kh crystal oscillator before using the function of OAD?

Hi,

There should not be any correlation between OAD and using RCOSC per se. However, it would be helpful if you could figure out how the OAD is failing by

Sniff the communication to see the OTA activity
Debug the heap and memory usage

If you don't have 32K crystal, I suppose you also need to revise BIM to use internal 32K RC oscillator to make it work.
