Hi,

Why does the Packet Sniffer 2 uses Wireshark. The old Packet Sniffer is very nice and you can clearly see the packets, Also does the Packet Sniffer 2 requires C2640R2F Launchpad with host test running.

By using Packet Sniffer 2 with Wireshark, it's more semantic than packet sniffer. You have to download sniffer_fw.hex to LAUNCHXL-CC26x2R1 or LAUNCHXL-CC2650 to work with Packet Sniffer 2 and Wireshark which you can refer to dev.ti.com/.../debugging-index.html

Okay, reading the guide, I now know how to use Packet Sniffer 2. But I still like the old Packet Sniffer, there is nice graphics showing the packets.
