how are you.

we have some problem during our development with your boostxl-aoa and launchxl-cc26x2r1, and SDK version:3.40, we also used SDK 4.10 before, but Passive can't be connected, so we back to use 3.40 version to continual development.

our current issue is:

1. we get good result with your original hardware. also there is some angle jumple, but is acceptable.

2. but when try to test with our antenna sample board which is make by your PCB document, and we just keep antenna A1.1, A1.2, A1.3 this antenna array. the test result is too bad so that we already make 2 times sample PCB board from 2 supplier. for example, we test 45 degree, test result is around 20~30 degree, and angle jumple more big than original board's.

3. could you give us some advice how to compensate it by programming or how to control PCB board quality, or we can't do mass produciton after development finish.

Hi,

Click on the Link , scroll down and you can see "Request" button under "Order Now" section.

If it doesn't provide an option in attaching the files, still you can send the "Request" then the concerned engineer will get back to you then you can send them the files directly.

I reviewed the Word document provided, but it is hard to tell what your stackup is. There are several cross-section shots of the stackup, but the layer names are not labeled. Then there is an image of the entire stackup, but it is too small to read what the thicknesses are.

See the stackup (Table 2 in our AoA appnote). Ensure that the layer thicknesses and dielectric constants are followed. The PCB vendor can provide this to you if requested. The stackup is critical to follow since it incorporates an integrated balun otherwise the matching will be incorrect.
